The Verdict ("we", "us", "our") built this app to read your chats and hand back a verdict — not to quietly hoover up your life. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do.

The short version

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not store your chat transcripts after analyzing them.
• Your messages are sent to an AI model only to generate your result, then discarded.

Information we collect

Chat content you submit. When you paste or upload a conversation for analysis, the text is processed to produce your verdict. We do not retain the raw transcript once the analysis is complete.

Usage and device data. We collect basic, non-identifying analytics — app version, device type, crashes, and which features are used — so we can fix bugs and improve the app.

Purchase information. If you buy a subscription or unlock a result, the transaction is handled by Apple, Google, or our payments provider (RevenueCat). We receive confirmation of the purchase and entitlement status, never your full card details.

How we use your information

• To generate the analysis you request.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
• To process purchases and restore entitlements.
• To respond to support requests.

Third-party services

To run analyses we send chat content to AI model providers strictly to compute your result. We use analytics and payment processors as described above. Each provider handles data under its own terms.

Data retention

Chat transcripts are processed transiently and are not stored after your verdict is produced. Aggregate, non-identifying usage data may be retained to improve the service.

Your choices

You can stop using the app and request deletion of any account-associated data by emailing us. Because we do not retain transcripts, there is typically no chat history to delete.

Children

The Verdict is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
